The best thing about Pizza 73, aside from its delicious pizzas, is the great deals they offer. The online menu makes it easy to keep up-to-date on the latest promotions, and even easier to try them out. If I had the money, I'd buy a franchise myself. August 18, 2009 (Toronto, ON) – Nidal Dleikan knows the Pizza 73 business inside out, which is no surprise since he’s been immersed in it for as long as he can remember.
“My dad is known around Medicine Hat as ‘Mr. Pizza’,” shares Nidal. “I’ve spent nine years working at his Pizza 73 location and he’s taught me well.”
Ever since Nidal joined the workforce, as a teenager, he began working for his father and putting money aside for his future. Now at the age of 23, he’s joined Alberta’s leading pizza chain and opening his very own Pizza 73 location, the second in Lethbridge and the first in the city to feature expanded seating and longer opening hours. In so doing, Nidal has become the second youngest partner in the Pizza 73 network— right after his cousin Sarah Souky in Edmonton.
“We’ve been around the business for a long time and we’re all very comfortable in it,” said Nidal. “It’s become a family tradition to serve our communities with quality food and fast and friendly service. So when this opportunity came up, I jumped on it knowing I would have fun making a career out of my passion.”
Located at 417 21A Street N, the new Pizza 73 restaurant is one of the biggest in the restaurant’s network, boasting 1600 square feet that includes in-store family seating. The opening of this location highlights a growing demand for Pizza 73 in the community and the success of the joint venture model in attracting local entrepreneurs.
“Our franchise partners are often leaders at home and in the broader community,” said Pat Finelli, chief marketing officer for Pizza 73. “We are delighted with the Dleikan family and their accomplishments not only as tremendous restauranteurs but also as stand out people who truly care about the well-being of our customers.”
In conjunction with recent store openings in Fort Saskatchewan, Okotoks and Saskatoon, Pizza 73 now has 71 locations across western Canada.
The owner currently employs twelve staff and is accepting resumes.
